One of the pairs I chose were these black Current Elliott's. They have cool zippers at the ankle and I love the wash, not too dark but not too faded.
When I got them home and read the inside tag I knew I had made the right decision.
A TRUE EIGHTIES SKINNY WITH ALL OF THE TRICKS TO
SLIM THE HIPS AND SLENDER THE LEGS.
Clearly, they were made for me because no one and I repeat NO ONE *pegged their jeans better than me back in the day. Snap.
*Fashion 101: the 80's and the pegged jean:
Pegging your jeans is what we did long before skinny jeans arrived on the scene. To make a normal straight legged jean look skinny you fold the jeans around your calf and then cuff (or roll) them while holding the excess denim tightly around your leg. I recommend leaving the first cuff a little loose so that you're able to make the second cuff. You want a minimum of two cuffs. If you've done this correctly (tightly), no readjustments will be needed during the day.
Aaah, sigh, good times.

I pegged my jeans, too!
ReplyDeleteI never thought ankle zippers would come back. I'm calling it now: the next trend will be mile-high bangs, secured with plenty of AquaNet.
I love me a good ankle zipper :) I'll keep an eye out for your trend prediction and God help us if it comes true!!!!
